Frequently asked questions

What services do you offer?

What services do you offer?

School portrait sessions are managed through a secure, online system. Families receive access to private ordering galleries organized by the school’s preferred structure (grade level, classroom, homeroom, or advisory group).

Portraits are photographed, edited, and delivered digitally for online viewing and ordering. Each school receives clear communication materials ahead of photo day to ensure families know what to expect.

How many images will families receive?

Each child’s gallery includes a small curated selection of images (typically 3–5), presented in both color and black-and-white. Families may select which images they wish to purchase.

Ordering options include professional print products and digital files for long-term use and archiving.

How is fine art / boutique school photography different from traditional school photos?

Fine art school photography is a step above the standard picture day experience. Rather than a high-volume, assembly-line process, each child receives a calm, unhurried session with gentle direction — creating space for real expressions and genuine personality to come through.

The result is high quality, artfully composed portraits with simple, clean backgrounds and soft lighting. Images that feel timeless rather than dated, and beautiful enough to print, frame, and pass down. Families receive a gallery of images to choose from — not a single pre-selected pose — so every family gets photos they truly love.

How does ordering work?

All orders are placed online through a secure gallery. A detailed information guide is provided to schools in advance to share with families, outlining ordering timelines and photo day preparation.

Printed orders are delivered directly to the school within approximately four weeks or sooner of the gallery closing date.

Do you provide everything needed for photo day?

Yes. All photography equipment and lighting are provided. The process is designed to be efficient, organized, and minimally disruptive to the school day. A parent volunteer or staff to help with traffic, wiping off boogers and checking name cards would greatly help with the day flow.

Will the school receive digital images?

Yes. Schools receive digital files for approved uses such as yearbooks, internal records, school websites, marketing materials, or student identification, according to the school’s needs.

Do you photograph staff and class photos?

Yes. Staff portraits and class photos can be included based on the school’s preferences and scheduling needs.

Who handles parent questions?

All questions related to galleries, ordering, and products are handled directly, reducing administrative burden for school staff.

Can services be customized?

Absolutely. Each school is different, and services can be tailored to fit your community, schedule, and specific requirements.

How many students can you accommodate?

I’ve worked with schools of various sizes, from small programs to larger campuses with hundreds of students. Photo day logistics are planned in collaboration with the school to ensure a smooth experience regardless of size.

When are school photo sessions scheduled?

School photo sessions can be scheduled at any point during the academic year. Dates are coordinated directly with the school to align with calendars and campus activities.

Are these portraits expensive?

Pricing is competitive and designed to be accessible. There is no upfront cost to the school. Families may choose from a range of collections and individual products based on their needs.

Will the school receive digital images?

Yes. Schools receive digital files for approved uses such as yearbooks, internal records, school websites, marketing materials, or student identification, according to the school’s needs.
